Abstract
On the assumption that the stretching exponent value in the stretched exponential model is the same for both v(1)(&SIGMA(+)) and v(3)(&SIGMA (+)) vibrations of SCN-, an 'additional' broadening of the v(1) line h as been identified and attributed to dissipative losses due to ion-dip ole interactions between cations and anions in melt.
