M. Shimokawabe et al., COMPARATIVE-STUDIES OF TPD AND TPR OF THE ADSORBED NO3 SPECIES FORMEDON COPPER-OXIDE AND ION-EXCHANGED COPPER MORDENITE FROM NITROGEN-DIOXIDE, Catalysis today, 36(1), 1997, pp. 65-70
The catalytic reduction of NO2 with C3H6 in the presence of O-2 was st
udied over CuO and Cu/mordenite (Cu/M) by the use of the temperature p
rogrammed desorption (TPD) and the temperature programmed reduction (T
PR) methods. It was found that the reduction of NO2 with C3H6 over CuO
was greatly suppressed in the presence of O-2, whereas over Cu ion ex
changed mordenite the conversion of NO2 to N-2 was enhanced by the pre
sence of O-2. It was suggested that NO3 type adsorbed species were eff
ectively involved in the reaction over Cu/M.
