Abstract
Aim of the study was to evaluate the osseointegration of the hydroxyla patite-coated titanium implants. Thin films of biocompatible ceramic w ere fabricated by KrF excimer pulsed laser deposition (PLD) on real de ntal cylindrical implants. For in-vivo investigation the minipigs were used. The implants were placed into the lower jaw. For analyses a sta ndardized radiography, microradiography, and transmission and fluoresc ent microscopy were used. The level of osseointegration of the host bo ne were observed and the percentage of bone/implant contact was determ ined.
