nexpected' pi binding to the C(4) and C(5) carbon atoms of the 1-azahe
xa-1,3,5-triene moiety, inferred by spectroscopic data, was confirmed
by single crystal X-ray diffraction studies. The ligands are arranged
around the central Fe atom as a trigonal bipyramid.
