amine] have been synthesised by reacting [RuHCl(CO)(PPh3)(2)(B)] (B =
PPh3, py or pip) with bis(acetylacetone)ethylenediimine, bis(acetylace
tone)propylenediimine, bis(acetylacetone)trimethylenediimine, bis(benz
oylacetone)ethylenediimine, bis(benzoylacetone)propylenediimine or bis
(benzoylacetone)trimethylenediimine. The complexes were characterised
on the basis of elemental analyses, i.r., electronic and H-1- and P-31
{H-1}-n.m.r. spectral studies.
