Abstract
Diazotization of aromatic primary amines with the nitrosyl group deriv ed from [OsX(NO)L-2](ClO4)(2), L = 2-(m-tolylazo)pyridine; X=Cl (1a), X=NO2 (1b) is described. The reaction sequence was followed by isolati ng the products at various stages; the products were characterized by physicochemical and spectroscopic methods.
