Spa. Mccormick et Lb. Nielsen, EXPRESSION OF LARGE GENOMIC CLONES IN TRANSGENIC MICE - NEW INSIGHTS INTO APOLIPOPROTEIN-B STRUCTURE, FUNCTION AND REGULATION, Current opinion in lipidology, 9(2), 1998, pp. 103-111
Extensive manipulation of the apolipoprotein B gene in yeast and bacte
rial artificial chromosome clones and subsequent expression of these c
lones in transgenic mice have provided fresh insights into several asp
ects of apolipoprotein B biology, including the identification of sequ
ences important for lipoprotein (a) assembly, the demonstration that i
ntestinal expression of apolipoprotein B is controlled by DNA sequence
s >50 kb from the gene, and the extraordinary finding that apolipoprot
ein B is expressed in the heart. (C) 1998 Rapid Science Ltd.
