In this work, a series of bubble-point measurements were carried out o
n some synthetic C6+ mixtures in the presence of methane. These synthe
tic mixtures included alkanes, cycloalkanes, and aromatics. The experi
ments were carried out using the Cailletet apparatus, and bubble-point
pressures were measured in a temperature range of 311-470 K. The corr
esponding pressures were predicted using the Peng-Robinson equation of
state, and the relative errors were estimated. It is shown that such
synthetic C6+ mixtures can be simulated reasonably well by this equati
on of state.
