Abstract
A high-throughput screen was developed and implemented to identify inh ibitors of the Lck tyrosine kinase. This report describes the identifi cation of a specific inhibitor of this enzyme from the solid fermentat ion culture of the Penicillium sp., WC75209. The active compound was i solated and structurally characterized as 1-methoxy-5R, 10S-agroclavin e, a new member of the ergot alkaloid family. (C) 1998 Published by El sevier Science Ltd.
