Abstract
A new design of reduced-size, dual-frequency circular microstrip anten na is presented. The patch-size reduction is achieved by cutting four equally spaced slits at the boundary of the circular patch. The two op erating frequencies can be controlled by selecting a suitable disk rad ios and adjusting the slit lengths. An approximate equation governing the frequency ratio of the two operating frequencies is also given. De tails of the antenna design and experimental results are presented and discussed.
