We propose a one-body framework to describe the scattering of bulk spi
n waves at the edge of a quantum Hall ferromagnet. Scattering processe
s lead to a new collection of stationary modes that turn out to be loc
alized at the edge. Comparison of these states with those obtained by
numerical calculations: firmly support our scheme. At filling factor 1
, these edge textures generate the whole low-lying spectrum of spin ex
citations and, for actual values of the Zeeman term, answer for edge r
econstruction when the magnetic field is increased.
