Abstract
The spider mite, Tetranychus okinawanus Ehara was recently described a s new and is abundant on islands of Okinawa. The susceptibility of the mite to 14 acaricides was examined. T. okinawanus is highly susceptib le to 13 acaricides but resistant to only Flufenoxuron. This suggests that most acaricides will be effective for control of T. okinawanus, i f the mite become a serious pest in other areas of Japan or within Oki nawa.
