Abstract
A uniform composite film of polypyrrole and silanol was prepared by el ectropolymerizing pyrrole in acetonitrile electrolyte containing silan ol. By annealing this composite film at 400 degrees C, a polypyrrole/s ilicon oxide (PPy/SiO2) composite film was obtained. This composite fi lm evaluated by Auger electron spectroscopy, UV-vis spectroscopy, and atomic force microscopy. The PPy/SiO2 composite film was applied as a hole transporting layer of the organic electroluminescence durability (EL) device with an emission layer of coumarin 6 to enhance the durabi lity of this EL device.
