The dynamics of a thin Huygens front propagating through a turbulent m
edium is considered. A rigorous asymptotic expression for the effectiv
e velocity v(F) proportional to the front area is derived. The small-s
cale fluctuations of the front position are shown to be strongly inter
mittent. This intermittency prays a crucial role in establishing a ste
ady state magnitude of the front velocity. The results are compared wi
th experimental data.
