The results of Monte Carlo simulations for model systems of associatin
g fluids, performed using the NpT and Gibbs ensembles, are presented.
The main finding is the observation of wetting and prewetting transiti
ons caused by the presence of associative forces. Orientational orderi
ng of dimerized particles in the vicinity of the adsorbing wall is dis
cussed. It is also shown that associative forces considerably enhance
total adsorption.
