Abstract
A novel glycosylation strategy has been developed whereby a silyl prot ected thioglycoside can act as both glycosyl donor and acceptor. Takin g advantage of a two directional approach in combination with previous ly reported orthogonal glycosylations, enables highly convergent and v ersatile assembly of oligosaccharides.
