Abstract
LiB3O5 single crystals were grown from B2O3 self flux solution without N-2 gas flow. The effects of seed orientations and rotation rate on c rystal quality and crystal size were investigated. beta-BaB2O4 crystal s were grown by the TSSG technique using NaF as well as Na2O as the fl ux. The dimensional variation of grown crystal depending on the flux s ystem was investigated. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V.
