ANTIMICROBIAL ACTIVITY OF NOVEL N-QUINOLINYL AND N-NAPHTHYLIMINO-1,2,3-DITHIAZOLES

Novel N-arylimino-1,2,3-dithiazole derivatives of aminoquinolines and aminonaphthalenes have been synthesised. The antibacterial and antifun gal activities of these compounds were measured; the new dithiazoles a re significantly active against fungi, but no enhancement of biologica l activity was detected by introduction of the more complex aromatic m oiety.
