Abstract
The reactions of poly( trifluoromethyl) pyridines with alkyl lithium r eagents were studied using the AM1 semiempirical method. Different rea ction paths were considered and a reaction mechanism based on these ca lculations involving alkyl lithium tetramers was proposed. (C) 1998 El sevier Science S.A.
