Abstract
Reversed-phase ion pair chromatography with UV detection was used to d etermine nine type VI and VIII bis-benzylisoquinoline alkaloids: aromo line, obamegine, berbamine, homoaromoline, colorflammine, thalrugosine , norobaberine, tetrandrine and isotetrandrine. The eluent was acetoni trile-0.05 M dihydrogen phosphate buffer (pH 3.0) (27:73, v/v) contain ing 0.1% diethylamine and 2 mM sodium heptanesulphonate. Five. alkaloi ds were determined in the stem woods of a Lauraceous plant, Dehaasia t riandra Merr. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V.
