Ma. Mostafa et al., A SUMMARY OF ALGORITHMS IN OPTIMAL LOAD SHEDDING AND GENERATION RE-ALLOCATION IN POWER-SYSTEM STUDIES - PART-II, Electric machines and power systems, 26(3), 1998, pp. 277-285
A power utility aims to operate its system in a secure manner regardle
ss of the prevailing circumstances. The increased demand for system se
curity during outages, loss of lines and routine maintenance requires
alternative strategies. This is the second and final part of a paper p
resenting a summary of algorithms proposed and applied in order to add
ress this issue. The algorithms described in this part attempt to mini
mize the cost of curtailed load and/or generation re-allocation by inc
luding a load curtailment and/or generation shift functions in the obj
ective or in the constraint.
