Differences in body size and shape can cause large variances in the re
sults of in vivo neutron activation analysis. Preliminary body-size co
rrection data were obtained for the delayed-gamma neutron activation f
acility (DGNA) at Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL), based on phant
om standards of different sizes, used in combination with computer sim
ulations on the effect of different body sizes. (C) 1998 Elsevier Scie
