Abstract
PhMe2SiLi reacts with tertiary amides to give enediamines, which can b e isolated in good yield when the alpha-carbon is branched; the enedia mines can be hydrolysed more or less easily to alpha-amino ketones, is omerised from Z to E, oxidised to dienediamines and isomerised to amin o enamines.
