CAX APPLICATION FOR PROCESS-ORIENTED CONCURRENT DESIGN

Globalisation of economy and shortening of product life cycle, particu larly for consumer products, requires the manufacturers to cut down pr oduct development time, especially in the area of design (construction design, process design, etc.). This paper describes the structure of the PDM system developed at the Technical University of Wroclaw. The P DM system integrates CAx tools in concurrent design of manufacturing p rocesses.
