Gallbladder diverticulum is an unusual and uncommon disease process ra
rely discussed in the literature. This disorder may not be diagnosed u
ntil surgically resected. The presentation may entail nonspecific comp
laints over a prolonged period as highlighted in a case report of a 17
-year-old woman with this disease. The incidence and pathophysiology o
f this disease process is correlated to the symptoms and signs of this
patient. The surgical findings, procedure, and outcome are described.
