A. Bentayeb et al., ELECTROCHEMICAL AND RHEOLOGICAL BEHAVIOR OF A MOROCCAN CLAY POWDER INCONCENTRATED AQUEOUS SUSPENSIONS, Annales de chimie, 23(1-2), 1998, pp. 165-168
The aim of this work was first to characterize a Moroccan clay powder
employed particularly in the ceramic industry. Afterwards, electrochem
ical and rheological properties of this powder in concentrated aqueous
suspensions (50 % wt) were studied in order to optimize the stability
of these slurries. Polarization resistance (Rp) and viscosity (eta) m
easurements techniques were used to study these properties. in fact, R
p and eta were determined as a function of pH and especially discussed
and compared to other previous works.
