Abstract
Porous polycrystalline high-T-c superconducting YBaCuO and particulate composites (123/211 and 123/Ag) have been processed in view of induci ng R-curve effects and improved thermal shock resistance. The latter h as been investigated in using the stage of stable extension of Vickers indentation cracks. It makes clearly the difference between the 123 o r 123/211 ceramics and the 123/Ag cermet, in accordance with the chang es in their fracture and thermophysical properties.
