Abstract
Synthesis of (S)-(-)-di-O-methyl-M5032 9 has been described by esterif ication of 3,5-dimethoxyphenylacetyl chloride 7 with t-butyl (S)-5-hyd roxy-2(E)-hexenoate 6 followed by intramolecular acylation.
