Abstract
A simple formalism is provided to relate the viscosity and the chemica l diffusion coefficient of binary liquid alloys. Only under simplified considerations, it reduces to the form of Stokes-Einstein relation. T he positive and negative deviations of the viscosity from the additive rule of mixing have been ascribed to the role of energetic and size e ffects.
