Abstract
Regiospecific monofluorinations of alpha-thio alpha-arylesters and alp ha-thioacids were obtained by anodic and/or chemical oxidation in fluo rinating media. This procedure provided a convenient synthesis of alph a-fluoroesters via the CS bond cleavage induced by anodic process whil e chemical or electrochemical oxidation of alpha-thioacids underwent a fluoro decarboxylation, affording alpha-fluorothioethers.
