A case of isolated unilateral temporalis muscle hypertrophy is present
ed. A review of the literature revealed only one report of temporalis
hypertrophy, probably caused by psychogenic muscle hyperactivity. The
temporalis muscle hypertrophy in the patient described was idiopathic
and its management was surgical.
