Abstract
The ionic conductivities of a series of SiO2 gels both as-received and exchanged in propylene carbonate solutions (PC, LiPF6 + PC and LiBF4PC) were measured in the temperature range 120-300 K. Relevant solutio ns were also studied. The temperature dependences of the conductivity of fresh sols and as-received gels did not follow the Arrhenius equati on. They were fitted using the Vogel-Tammann-Fulcher formula. After th e solvent exchanges, the temperature dependence of the conductivity of the gels resembled that of the exchange solutions.
