Abstract
Simple arguments concerning Kosterlitz-Thouless transitions in the two -dimensional diluted XY model are suggested. Results by Minnhagen and Weber concerning Monte-Carlo simulations of this system are interprete d. A relation between the considered model and real systems near the p ercolation threshold is discussed. The suggested arguments are in acco rdance with experimental and simulation data.
