Abstract
After replacing the cold water piping in a public building in 1985, co pper content increased after one year and pipe perforations occurred i n 1989. The corrosion was different from previously known types; coppe r resistant microorgan isms caused the microbiologically induced corro sion. The experimental results are presented.
