Abstract
The maximum leakage mass flow of initially boiling or Assessment of th e slightly subcooled fluids along the path flow through a leak is mode led. Maximum Possible Superheating Using the calculated time-dependent radial temperature distribution in the liquid around the growing bubb le, the authors determine the resulting vapor mass, the mean liquid te mperature, and the liquid superheating, compared to the thermodynamic equilibrium. The effects of surface tension, mass vapor content depres surization rate, and initial distance between nuclei that can be activ ated are discussed.
