Abstract
An extremely rare case of primary hydatid cyst of the adrenal gland is reported. Adrenal hydatid cysts are usually a manifestation of genera lized echinococcosis. Only nine primary cases have so far been reporte d in the literature. The presentation is insidious. Correct preoperati ve diagnosis is difficult. Clinical and investigative findings are non -specific and ambiguous. Surgery is the treatment of choice.
