A 48-year-old woman was diagnosed with right renal vein thrombosis (RV
T) 2 weeks after a laparoscopic cholecystectomy. The patient had none
of the major risk factors for RVT or deep vein thrombosis. She was tre
ated with long-term anticoagulation. Complete dissolution of the throm
bi was reached 1 month after diagnosis.
