Ap. Dusert et al., SEROLOGICAL DIAGNOSIS OF BOVINE BRUCELLOS IS - COMPARATIVE-EVALUATIONOF ELISA AND TRADITIONAL METHODS, Revue de Medecine Veterinaire, 149(2), 1998, pp. 161-168
The use of an indirect ELISA for the serological screening of bovine b
rucellosis provides very promising results. The ELISA specificity, whe
n the Complement Fixation test is used as the reference method, is at
least equal or better than the Rose Bengal test. In infected herds, th
e ELISA ability to detect seroconverted cattle is greatly higher than
the traditional methods.
