Abstract
Elaphropus parvulus (Dejean) is a small introduced European carabid be etle previously recorded in North America from British Columbia, Idaho , and Washington. The first published Oregon record is noted with addi tional Idaho and Washington records, along with habitat data and assoc iated carabid species (including Trachypachidae). North American colle cting data indicate this species is primarily found in open lacustrine or riparian areas, in sharp contrast to the anthropogenic habitats fa vored by almost all other European carabid species introduced into Nor th America. The original site of introduction appears to be Seattle, W ashington.
