Abstract
The reactions of stabilized sulfonium ylides with arylmethylenecyanoth ioacetamides proceed stereoselectively to yield 2-amino-4,5-dihydrothi ophenes and cyclopropanethiocarboxamides. The structures, of the latte r compounds were confirmed by X-ray diffraction analysis.
