Abstract
In this journal, Elliott and Ellingworth (1997) reported their attempt s to assess the impact of certain sources of survey error on the Briti sh Crime Survey. This article attempts to correct some flaws in their article, to place their results in a wider context, and to provide som e further - arguably more robust - estimates of the impact of non-resp onse bias.
