Abstract
In this paper, we consider the problem of assigning, by state feedback , a finite spectrum to a single-input system with commensurate point d elays. It is well-known that spectral controllability is a necessary c ondition. We show that it is also sufficient. We give a constructive p rocedure for the synthesis of a feedback law, involving distributed de lays, which yields a closed-loop system having a finite number of pole s.
