L. Piedra et al., EVALUATION OF CAPTIVE CROCODYLUS-ACUTUS ( CROCODILIA, CROCODYLIDAE) NEONATE GROWTH, Revista de biologia tropical, 44(3), 1997, pp. 289-293
Two diets, two feeding frequencies, and two densities were tested in 6
4 captive crocodile Crocodylus acutus juveniles. The higher feeding fr
equency (five times per week) and the red meat-based diet produced a h
igher weight (P<0.05). The Lower feeding frequency and white fish meat
treatment, produced the longest animals (P<0.05). The higher density
treatment (nine individ/m(2) produced superior results in length and w
eight.
