Abstract
Triangular norms (and triangular conorms and uni-norms) can be treated as semigroup, two-place function, also as commutative semiring multip lications. It can also be derived from the difference operation in a d ifference poset. We discuss here these different interpretations and t heir consequences. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V.
