Abstract
Chemisorption of carbon monoxide and electrooxidation of COads is stud ied on the Pd/PVP/GC and Pd/Nf/GC electrodes in sulfuric acid solution s by methods of potentiostatic current transients and cyclic voltammet ry. It is shown that, during the CO chemisorption, the electrical doub le layer undergoes restructuring. On the Pd/Nf/GC and Pd/PVP/GC electr odes, molecules of COads are mainly present on the surface in the line ar form mainly present on the surface Linear form. The specific behavi or of Pd particles incorporated into Nf and PVP films in the COads oxi dation is associated largely with the influence of the polymeric matri x, rather than with the degree of the electrodeposit dispersion.
