Abstract
In recent years, the development of improved intrauterine devices has focused on finding methods to reduce expulsion and the need for medica l removal for better intrauterine retention and devices. Efforts also have been directed towards developing intracervical devices. Some of t he more recent developments in intrauterine and intracervical devices are discussed.
