Abstract
The recently reported (4)G(7/2) --> I-4(9/2) and F-4(3/2) --> I-4(9/2) luminescence spectra of U3+ in single crystals of Cs2NaYCl6 are reass igned. Vibrational wavenumbers of the UCl63- moiety, and the I-4(9/2) term manifold crystal field splittings are derived.
