Abstract
The excited-state dynamics of acceptor-substituted anthryl-thiophenes are investigated by fs-transient absorption and ps-time-resolved fluor escence spectroscopy. Depending on molecular structure and acceptor st rength (pyridinium/pyridine) charge separation or conformational relax ation is observed. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
