Abstract
A new fumonisin, iso-fumonisin B-1 (iso-FB1, 1), has been isolated fro m liquid cultures of the fungus Fusarium moniliforme (Sheldon) NRRL 13 616. On the basis of its spectroscopic data, its structure has been de termined to differ from that of fumonisin B-1 only in the presence of st hydroxyl function at C-4 instead of C-5.
