The weak charge Q(w) measured in atomic parity violation experiments c
an receive compensating contributions from more than one new physics s
ource. We show explicitly that the Delta Q(w) contribution from the ex
change of an extra Z-boson can cancel that from the s-channel scalar t
op or scalar charm exchange in R-parity violating SUSY models proposed
to explain the DESY HERA high-Q(2) anomaly. [S0556-2821(98)50107-5].
